Khabar National Park was initially established as a protected area in 1971 and later designated as the Khabar and Rochon Wildlife Refuge in 1975. Subsequently, in 1999, a significant portion of the refuge was upgraded to the status of a national park. It is located 60 km south of Baft city in Kerman province and spread across 150,000 hectares.
