Iran Deserts

You may only have heard about two major deserts of Iran, Dasht-e-Kavir, and Kavir-e-Lut. While these are the major Iran deserts, there are a number of touristic deserts in Iran. 

Have you ever thought about where is the hottest place in the world? What have you heard about that? Did you know that it is actually in Iran? YES!! The hottest place in the world is somewhere in the middle of Iran. It is actually in the center of Lut Desert.

Iran is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, and therefore, there are a number of cities in the country which has more than thousands of years of history. One of these cities is Bam in Kerman Province. The city and its cultural landscape were listed as the World Heritage Site of UNESCO in 2004.

There are only a few beaches in the world where beach and desert meet. Darak Beach and the village are one of those places where the desert and see meat. If you are a nature lover and enjoy walking along the sea while watching the beautiful desert, here is the place for you.

One of the most beautiful Iranian deserts is the Maranjab Desert with high dunes and forests arch. It is one of the best places for trekking in Iran, in addition, to be a perfect place for photography during days and nights.

When most people who have never travel to Iran, think about the country, they usually picture a deserted-country which is not true for all the country, but for some parts of it. 

Iran is a vast country with great history, so far 21 cultural and one natural property of the country has inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO (in 2018). 

Mesr (it has the same meaning as Egypt in Persian) is a desert village in the Central District of Khur and Biabanak County in the Isfahan province and 45 km far from the city of Jandag and 371 km far from Yazd.
